Responsibilities

Assist the Quality Control group in conducting plant monitoring testing on cottonseed for quality standards in raw and processed forms.

Perform quality checks including Truck Sampling, Sample De-Linting, Acid Percentage, Dryer Temperature, Buffer Temperature, Bushel Weights, pH, Cleanout Percentages, Seed Count, Tare Analysis, Seed Appearance, Bag Analysis, Calibration of Scales, and Down Time Coding.

Inspect packaged finished products to verify standards are met.

Assist with variety cleanouts and enter data on Plant Monitoring Spreadsheet.

Report any deviations of quality parameters and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).

Maintain a clean work area, follow safe work practices, and work near/with other workers on a daily basis.

Utilize lab equipment such as Temperature Probe, pH Meter, Beakers, Distilled Water, Buffers, Scales, Bushel Weight Apparatus, and Seed Counter.

Cross-train with QA Cottonseed Technician laboratory duties as needed.

Majority of testing requires standing and walking for periods of time in an industrial and warehouse setting

PPE (safety glasses, coveralls, gloves, safety boots, and hardhat) is required and provided
