Responsibilities

Drive our testing automation strategy and demand that CBS delivers the highest possible value for our customers, by continuously applying pressure to our SAAS product and constantly putting us to the test
Take ownership of QA planning and implementation, involving the architecture and extension of our test automation framework, with a strong emphasis on information security and data privacy
Prepare comprehensive code coverage and testing scenarios to identify problems (and solutions) in relation to application features, back end data integrity, customer and vendor integrations, and regulatory compliance requirements
Develop and maintain functional test cases, integration test cases, and test artifacts including program code for automated scripts and test data
Perform gap analyses to isolate areas of our systems that lack coverage, and prioritize issues using a risk-based approach while keeping an eye on ROI
Review functional specifications for new and existing features, and determine the requirements for executing end to end use cases, including automated regression testing
Adhere to our formal workflow and recommend improvements where appropriate, execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality and regulatory compliance, inspect and enhance code quality, report test results and prepare automation project proposals that are backed by data and analysis
Research emerging test tools, trends and methodologies, to improve existing systems and processes
Act as the testing lead in multiple workstreams, working closely with our Product team, Science Team, and Tech team, to prepare collaborative solutions
Mentor software engineers and other Tech team members to train and guide them regarding test methodologies, automation, as well as standards and best practices, through peer based code review and our Agile SDLC

Required

5 years of working experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
Independent, passionate, transparent, creative, collaborative, and flexible
Excellent understanding and knowledge of software quality assurance practices
Experience in TDD, BDD, continuous integration and code review practices
Strong experience with OO programming
Demonstrated ability to originate and maintain procedures and technical documentations that strikes an appropriate balance between complexity and accessibility; able to communicate complex concepts to all audiences, irrespective of the subject matter or the reader’s background
Extensive hands on experience with Ruby on Rails, Capybara, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Cucumber, Rspec, and FactoryBot
Experience with code repository management
Experience with ticketing systems and ticket-based workflows
