Responsibilities

Assist in conducting plant monitoring testing on cottonseed for quality standards in raw and processed forms.

Perform quality checks including Truck Sampling, Sample De-Linting, Acid Percentage, Dryer Temperature, Buffer Temperature, Bushel Weights, pH, Cleanout Percentages, Seed Count, Tare Analysis, Seed Appearance, Bag Analysis, Calibration of Scales, and Down Time Coding.

Inspect packaged finished products to verify standards are met and assist with variety cleanouts.

Enter data on Plant Monitoring Spreadsheet and report any deviations of quality parameters.

Maintain a clean work area, follow safe work practices, and work near/with other workers on a daily basis.

Utilize lab equipment including Temperature Probe, pH Meter, Beakers, Distilled Water, Buffers, Scales, Bushel Weight Apparatus, and Seed Counter.

Work primarily in an industrial/warehouse and/or lab environment, wearing provided PPE (safety glasses, coveralls, gloves, safety boots, and hardhat).
