Responsibilities

Engage in quality planning activities for new programs, with a special emphasis on supplied materials and components.

Develop and implement quality plans, conduct process audits, and identify areas for improvement.

Ensure all quality standards are met during the development and launch of new products.

Coordinate with purchasing/manufacturing on supplier quality issues.

Oversee supplier MRB and corrective action process.

Maintain supplier quality metrics.

Assist in preparing sampling plans, FMEAs, control plans.

Develop test methods and related procedures.

Conduct and/or oversee product testing during product development and into production.

Conduct training with Quality Technicians as required.

Maintain test records (electronic and hard copy) for easy retrieval.

Perform detailed data analysis and prepare reports.

Required

5 plus years as a Quality Engineer

Bachelor's in Mechanical (if no degree then 7 plus years of Quality Engineering)

ASQ CQE certification or equivalent experience

Knowledge and experience with ISO-9000 Quality Management Standards

Experience with Gage R&R

PFMEA experience

Experience with statistical software such as SQC Pack or Minitab®

Preferred

Proficient in measurement, inspection and testing methods, calibration

DOD- familiarity with government contracts

Chemical Engineer or Biochemist

Understands quality control plans and data
