Responsibilities
Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
May specialize in areas such as design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, and reliability.

Required
2+ years Product development experience
Intimate knowledge of Risk Management
Solid communication skills
Critical thinking (able to dive in deep to a problem – ex. root cause investigation)
Experience in routine updates and remediation to risk management files (FMEAs, PHAs, etc.)
Experience working with manufacturing to support NCRs, CAPAs, SCCS, and change assessments
Experience in assessing complaint signals and determining next steps
Experience in developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product
Collaboration with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
Designing or specifying inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment
Conducting quality assurance tests
Performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications
Ensuring corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards
Ensuring documentation is compliant with requirements
Preferred
Specialization in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality
Experience in a specialist career stream role
Experience in delivering and/or managing projects assigned and working with other stakeholders to achieve desired results
Experience in acting as a mentor to colleagues or directing the work of other lower-level professionals
Advanced education (typically University)
May provide guidance and assistance to entry-level professionals and/or employees in Support Career Stream
