Responsibilities

Provides expertise in manufacturing processes for mechanical and electrical components.

Ensures suppliers' manufacturing processes are in place to produce reliable products.

Conducts supplier assessments and drives improvement actions.

Manages supplier or product qualification projects and provides regular updates to management.

Interfaces with internal customers on quality issues and participates in failure analysis and corrective action efforts.

Provides technical/quality trainings to suppliers.

Requires frequent travel to suppliers for on-site audits and meetings.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent in experience.

7+ years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry

Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems and tools

Experience in or knowledge of standard fabrication practices of structural frame, sheet metal fabrication, and precision machining process (Aluminum/Stainless Steel)

Expertise in mechanical drawing interpretation using ASME Y14.5 (Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Hands-on experience in supplier assessment, qualification, audit, and quality management

Strong passion and an aptitude for problem-solving in a collaborative team environment are required.

Ability for good written and verbal communication of technical content in English is required.

Strong project management skills are required.

Hands on knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 why’s, DOE, PFMEA, etc.) and quality engineering experience is required.

Working knowledge in the use and application of SPC.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Software – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.

Working knowledge in the application of Lean/Six Sigma

Preferred

ASQ CQA, CQT or CQE certification preferred
