Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, statistical analysis and prediction, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support the needs of the business.

Be hands-on with ETL to build data pipeline to support automated reporting.

Write high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from database tables (ex. SQL)

Build various data visualizations to tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through graphic-rich customizable plots, data maps, and other rich visualizations.

Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad hoc investigations to support future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.

Assists with and provides recommendations regarding tradeoffs between data granularity, calculations, and rendering of BIE products especially dashboards and other data visualizations

Apply deep analytic and business intelligence skills to extract meaningful insights and learning from large and complicated data sets using the appropriate statistical forecasting model.

Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions using Talend and Informatica to ensure efficient data processing.

Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and analyze business needs for reporting solutions.

Create interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools to provide insights into business performance.

Utilize programming languages such as Java and Python for data manipulation and analysis.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to data integrity and availability.

Stay updated with emerging trends in Big Data technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Required

BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related experience.

3+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, business analytics, business intelligence (BI), or comparable experience in big data environments.

3+ years of experience in data mining and data-set preparation using SQL.

3+ years of experience QuickSight

Demonstrable ability in data modeling and ETL development

Proven experience with SQL to retrieve and analyze large data sets from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL, Oracle)

Be self-driven, details-oriented, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data.

Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role.

Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Proficiency in ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica.

Experience with programming languages including Java and Python.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
