Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team of technical resources to carry out test requests for Global R&D teams in electrical and high power components

Perform R&D and compliance testing using standard and specialized test equipment, within the planned testing time, ensuring compliance to the quality and delivery metrics

Execute all technical functions relevant to the preparation and testing as specified by global test requests

Prepare and operate test equipment for carrying out specific electrical tests, starting with calibration, dielectric, temperature rise with the goal of growing to learn short circuit, overload, electrical endurance and specialized testing

Perform environmental type tests such as rain spray, hose down and water mist

Perform basic calculations of technical data and report them accordingly

Communicate test data and prepare technical documentation and formal reports as needed

Maintain accurate maintenance and qualification records

Manage the test queue and update on a timely basis

Maintain confidentiality in handling proprietary test data, formulations and data on patentable or other confidential items under development

Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies and working area

Adhere to ABB safety protocols and procedures

Ability to work independently and with a team with limited supervision
