Responsibilities
Develop new products and software tools to manage products
Develop programs to interface with commercial ERP and engineering designs tools
Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, documents, and reports
Utilize ERPs (SAP, Teamcenter) to review and create concept design drawings
Work with Senior Engineers to perform FEM (Finite element model) analysis of legacy and conceptual designs
Interpret regulatory standards and ensure designs meet standards
Write papers, participate in technical meetings, seminars, and conferences

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of experience in the design and development, or application of electric motors or rotating equipment and experience in programing interfaces and add-ons for ERPs and commercial engineering tools, or PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Knowledge in NEMA, IEC, CSA and IEEE electric motor standards
Experience in 2D/3D finite element method modeling such as ANSYS
Experience in C#, Delphi, database interface program code (ABAP, SQL, etc.) or scripting based validations
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
Preferred
5 plus years of experience in either product application or development engineering of AC motors
A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience
A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience
