Responsibilities
Accounting in a multi-entity environment:
Processing Accounts Payable:
Ensuring proper approval of invoices
Accurate coding of invoices to the correct entity and GL account
Processing expense reports and credit card statements
Processing Accounts Receivable:
Creating invoices for both internal and external entities
Posting deposits
Tracking and reconciling intercompany accounts, including allocations
Assisting with cash schedules and projections
Posting journal entries
Performing bank reconciliations
Managing month-end financials:
Creating and maintaining schedules for GL accounts to ensure financial statement accuracy
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports
Importing external data and generating accounting reports, including financial statements, while verifying the accuracy of information
Handling entity consolidations
Processing investor distributions
Preparing financial reports, including variance analysis
Assisting with the monitoring and analysis of financial performance for properties and portfolios
Supporting the development of property budgets, business plans, quarterly reforecasts, and variance analyses
Assisting in the preparation of investor reporting
Assisting in the preparation of tax schedules
Support the day-to-day management of company operations, ensuring seamless workflows and timely completion of key initiatives
Organize schedules, meetings, and communications for leadership, including follow-up on action items
Oversee the preparation, review, and maintenance of internal documentation, including policies, procedures, and real estate portfolio data
Handle administrative tasks such as recordkeeping, managing correspondence, and maintaining confidential files.
Provide calendar management and ensure effective scheduling to optimize executive time
Conduct travel arrangements and logistics planning for team members and offsite events
Support vendor and contractor management, ensuring contracts, invoices, and services align with company goals.
Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting agendas for leadership
Facilitate HR tasks, including onboarding of new hires, maintaining compliance documentation, and liaising with third-party HR providers
Research and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance company culture, supporting a healthy, collaborative, and connected remote team environment
Plan and coordinate offsite events for a small, close-knit team, ensuring a balance of team-building and strategic goal alignment
Conduct research on AI tools and other software solutions to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and team productivity. Provide detailed recommendations and assist in implementing the selected solutions
Assist the real estate team with ad hoc projects, including property research, market analysis, lease abstraction, document preparation, and special assignments related to acquisitions, developments, or asset management

Required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field, with a strong understanding of accounting principles
Minimum of three years of accounting experience
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Deadline-driven, proactive, and self-motivated
Proficient in MS Excel
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with real estate or property management accounting software (RealPage experience is a plus)
Ability to work during Mountain Time hours
Preferred
Experience in construction accounting and draw package management
