Responsibilities

Evaluate overall effectiveness of policy and procedures as they relate to and meet the real property management and general administrative needs of an organization.
Prepare and review real property related documents such as permits, easements, leases and other documents covering the use of real property.
Keep stakeholders informed of all new laws, directives, and regulations regarding real estate and real property management.
Interpret, review and recommend or institute changes in internal and external policies, procedures and standards concerning real property action.

Required

You must be a US Citizen or US National.
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
Qualifying experience for GS-11 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-09 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
For this position, specialized experience is experience assisting customers or clients with real property management or leasing questions; designing, developing, or implementing strategic plans for the management of facilities; and preparing reports on real property or space management.
Qualifying experience for GS-12 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-11 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
For this position, specialized experience is experience providing technical guidance regarding the utilization of real property assets or leased space; designing, developing, or implementing strategic plans for the management of facilities real property; and managing short-term or long-term real property costs and their associated budgets.

Preferred

3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree related to the position. Related degrees include Business Administration, Finance, Business Operations, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Business, or Outdoor Recreation.
A combination of graduate education and specialized experience as described above.
