Responsibilities
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Toyo Tires product line, including features, benefits, warranties, sizing, and applications
Achieve or exceed assigned regional unit and dollar sales goals in all product categories
Make dealer calls
Inform dealers promptly of campaigns and programs
Review dealers’ inventory
Follow up on credit-related matters
Assist and encourage dealers to display and advertise Toyo products
Distribute POP material and literature
Assist dealers with sales and marketing programs
Inform dealers of their purchase records YTD vs. last year’s, YTD vs. target, and YTD vs. Toyo volume categories
Solicit orders for all Toyo products as applicable to dealers
Establish a dependable dealer network in all markets within the assigned region
Assist management in establishing profit-minded and cost-conscious practices
Develop and maintain good business relationships with major accounts through periodic contacts and proper handling of sales and administrative functions
Active individual solicitation and signing of new passenger and light truck dealers as directed in designated markets
Present detailed competitive information such as products, prices, sales programs, product problems, etc., regularly
Monitor Toyo product performance versus competitors and help identify new product needs for Toyo
Maintain customer contact data for all direct and associate dealers in assigned area in Salesforce.com

Must be a self-starter
Customer service-oriented mindset, able to build professional relationships
Strong “value add” selling skills through products, programs and services; motivational skills
Proven track record of attaining objectives in tough environments
Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize
Passenger and light truck tire product knowledge
Management and budgeting skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
Ability to travel, with overnight accommodations, at least three (3) nights per week
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history
Ability to follow Company policies and safety guidelines
Must have a High School diploma or GED
Two or more (2+) years of experience in tire sales or as a tire manufacturer representative
A solid understanding of tire products is required
Preferred
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
