Responsibilities
Provide direct secretarial and administrative support to the section manager and staff.
Support implementation of the Washington Shoreline Management Act through processing shoreline permits and coordinating comment periods.
Assist in wetland, shoreline, and floodplain management by reviewing and distributing permit letters and other communications.
Coordinate review of actions under the State Environmental Protection Act.
Initiate actions supporting section goals through client contact and collaboration with other agencies.

Required
A total of 4 years of experience and/or education in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work
High School Diploma or GED or college credits towards a degree in business administration, public administration or closely allied field
Preferred
Service focused with good communication skills
Knowledge of office procedures and practices, business management practices, research methods and data collections, communication and correspondence practices
Ability to work independently, read, understand, and interpret policies and procedures, develop written reports, work effectively with others, communicate effectively both in writing and speech
