Responsibilities
Initiate, follow-up, and process prior authorizations for high-cost medications
Conduct benefit investigations and coordinate Patient Assistance Programs and copay cards
Collaborate with nursing and physicians to obtain necessary documentation for prior authorization and billing
Arrange medication refills, transfers, and deliveries while updating the patient case management system
Perform pharmacy technician duties when necessary

Required
Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
Minimum of one (1) year of previous pharmacy practice experience in a similar setting
Minimum of three (3) years of prior experience with Manufacturers Patient Assistance Programs and prescription online adjudication
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Associate's Degree in Business or a related field from an accredited program
