Responsibilities

Oversees day to day schedule, assignment of work, direction and development of staff in achieving financial results as a primary function.
Directly manages 8-12 staff.
Trains regional billing center staff to meet performance expectations.
Maintains staff attendance functions; oversees time cards and time off requests.
Independently makes decisions on the majority of write-offs and adjustments, with authority to approve up to $500 per claim.
Evaluates staff performance; 90-day and annual reviews.
Performs staff discipline as needed.
Provides final recommendations on hiring to the Reimbursement Manager; solicits final approval.
Notifies Reimbursement Manager of account receivable challenges and payer trends.
Responds to and resolves incoming phone calls and emails from internal and external customers.
Ensure all billing and collections practices follow company best practices, as well as state and federal regulations.
Assists in BCC workloads for the department during staff absences.
Oversees assembly and analysis of files for audits.
Attend payer seminars and educational events
Participates in a leadership role in staff meetings.
Reviews industry literature and communicates pertinent information to direct reports.
Mentors Billing & Collections Coordinators, and identifies those that are promotable.
Perform related duties as required.

Required

High School diploma/GED required; Associates degree preferred.
Minimum three years of related experience required, with a minimum of two years successful experience as a Billing & Collections Coordinator II.
Able to effectively delegate work assignments fairly and appropriately.
Collaborates effectively with other management teams, as well as other groups and teams throughout the organization.
Able to accept accountability and demonstrates a willingness to seek solutions rather than find fault with others.
Conducts self appropriately in different professional settings.
Demonstrates advanced skills and knowledge to perform job successfully.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both professional and non-professional, co-workers, management personnel, the public and others.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision.
Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills.
Listens well and retains instructions; accepts constructive feedback from supervisor.
A track record of being consistent with attendance and prompt arrival at work and meetings.
Understands and is aware of budgets and/or financial goals.
Plans and organizes effectively to achieve productivity goals.
Able to use technology to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the Numotion Mission.

Preferred

Associates degree preferred.
One year of supervisory experience preferred.
