Responsibilities

Plan and schedule mobile app releases across multiple platforms (Android, iOS, Windows) and technologies (native, Angular)

Coordinate release activities between different mobile development teams

Build and maintain the mobile release calendar

Manage interdependencies between mobile projects to ensure milestone adherence

Negotiate and plan release windows and cycles for mobile apps

Implement and manage release processes through development, testing and app store submission environments

Continuously improve mobile release management processes

Define strategic direction for mobile release management tools and practices

Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and go/no-go reviews for mobile app releases

Work with mobile developers on code merges and branching strategies for Android, iOS and cross-platform code

Develop automation scripts and tools for build, integration and deployment of mobile apps

Maintain release repositories with key information like procedures and dependencies for each mobile platform

Research new methodologies and technologies for mobile app configuration management

Ensure compatibility and consistency across different mobile platforms and form factors

Coordinate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing of mobile apps before release

Monitor customer feedback and results of mobile app test automation

Ensure releases meet quality standards for each mobile platform (Android, iOS, Windows)

Manage the process of submitting apps to various app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store, Microsoft Store)

Ensure compliance with app store guidelines and requirements

Coordinate app store approval processes and timelines

Communicate release plans, schedules and changes to all mobile project stakeholders

Provide regular status updates and reporting to senior management on mobile releases

Coordinate with product managers, project managers, mobile engineering leads etc.

Lead go-live activities and deployment execution for mobile app releases

Identify and manage risks specific to mobile app releases that could impact scope, schedule or quality

Develop contingency plans for mobile-specific issues like OS updates, device fragmentation etc.
