Responsibilities

Working with external team members including architects, outside consultants, code officials, and contractors.
Working with internal team members of other disciplines to provide a fully coordinated and thought-out design.
Provide leadership in prioritizing engineering project team labor to meet multiple moving deadlines and track project budgets.
Review MEP systems designed by others, interface with code officials and contractors, work with architect and other clients.
Prioritize engineering project requirements both technical and operational related.
Mentor and develop department staff, fostering career growth through personalized development plans.
Ensure high-quality work and adherence to firm QA/QC protocols.
Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
Oversee, plan, and design discipline-specific systems for various projects, including healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and commercial buildings.
Act as the "Engineer of Record" and guide technical communication with clients.
Collaborate in leading the region/office, organizing discipline meetings, and contributing to regional initiatives.
Support implementation of Glumac technical standards in the local office.
Communicate feedback on technical standards implementation and suggest improvements.
Track training opportunities and recommend staff training to enhance skills.

MEP EngineeringScience in EngineeringProfessional Engineering PE licenseREVIT proficiencySustainable design experienceStaff managementLEED AP BD+CWELL certification

Required

10 + years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Current Professional Engineering PE license.
Experience managing staff as a direct supervisor.
Proficiency in REVIT is a must.

Preferred

Significant sustainable design experience strongly desired.
LEED AP BD+C accreditation is a plus.
WELL certification is a plus.
