Responsibilities

Install, customize, test, and implement independent software vendor (ISV) products

Use IBM SMP/e to install and maintain z/OS software and interpret SMP/e outputs to resolve issues

Work with z/OS, JES2, SMP/E, TSO, IOCP/HCD, and Parallel Sysplex

Create, update, and debug z/OS parameters using PARMLIB

Manage IBM z/OS UNIX Systems Services (USS), including file systems, mount points, and overall environment security

Utilize IBM z/OS communication products like VTAM, TCP/IP, and FTP

Develop detailed documentation for software/hardware installations and upgrades

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues

Provide off-hours production support and participate in periodic weekend implementations
