Responsibilities
Assist departmental faculty/PI in developing and submitting proposals to funding agencies.
Review requests for proposals, ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines, and meet submission deadlines.
Help in budget development and justification, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Advise on administrative requirements and budget revisions to meet sponsor needs.
Coordinate and review proposal elements for accuracy and completeness.
Monitor proposal status and inform PI of research protection protocol requirements.
Review award terms, interpret award documents, and communicate key information to relevant personnel.
Complete award setup, budget reconciliation, and tracking tools setup for award management.
Manage post-award activities including payroll distributions, budget transfers, and cost share.
Monitor Effort, FARs, subaward activities, cost transfers, and other award-related tasks.

Required
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience with Pre and Post Award Research management and support
Great communication and multitasking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel
Knowledge of 2CFR 200
USDA experience
Agriculture experience
Preferred
Familiarity with PeopleSoft, UFIRST, and other UF systems
