Responsibilities

Develop forward-looking analyses and insights about the top trends related to asset management systems, operations, and future trends for clients to consume and use to improve their businesses

Work with other research analysts to write detailed, in-depth, and high-quality research reports on a broad set of investment management topics

Proactively identify industry trends and client needs to guide content planning

Interface with industry experts, senior operations, and IT personnel at leading asset management firms and vendors to gather data points and insights

Create and deliver compelling presentations at Cutter conferences and other industry events

Develop benchmarking surveys, analyze results, and produce client reports

Collaborate with fellow Cutter Research and Consulting associates

Develop content for Cutter’s website, including articles, blog posts, newsletters, and whitepapers

Lead member discussions on Cutter’s webcast events

Suggest and promote research and benchmarking topics for future consideration

Required

4-8 years of experience in the institutional asset management industry, either as a researcher, an asset management operations/technology practitioner, OR as a fintech vendor/service provider

A creative and insightful writer who can capture and synthesize the essence of their research and present it in a positive and thought-provoking manner, revealing insights into the consequential issues facing asset management firms in today’s world

Strong familiarity with the end-to-end asset management value chain, as well as the supporting business processes and technology platforms/infrastructure

Expertise in one or more asset management disciplines (e.g., Data, Trade Processing, Performance and Attribution, Risk Management)

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinker, collaborative, and efficient in approach to analysis and research
