Responsibilities
Provide technical insight into the design and development of self-administered bio-wearables (e.g., EEG hardware), work on the usability of Alto’s bio-wearables and software applications, focusing on miniaturization, user-friendliness, and reliability.
Collaborate cross-functionally and cross-disciplinary to develop, identify performance metrics, benchmarks, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for evaluation, refine data acquisition on devices and software.
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues related to system performance and functionality.
Contribute to prototype testing of different devices and sensors for on-going R&D efforts.
Contribute to problem-solving within R&D project scopes.
Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews to provide insights and recommendations for system improvement related to performance, design, user interface, and data visualization.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in R&D technology and neurocognitive research to drive innovation.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both software and hardware components.
Ensure all work adheres to all appropriate regulatory standards.
Manage competing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (biomedical or electrical), Neuroscience, computer science, or related field.
2+ years of experience in neurotech (industry or graduate research experience)
Proven experience in hardware design for measuring physiological signals like EEG, preferably in a consumer electronics or healthcare setting.
Strong proficiency in circuit designs utilizing analog-to-digital converters (ADC)
