Responsibilities
Working with a mixed team of data and social scientists to analyze and synthesize large amounts of data from various sources.
Preparing and analyzing data in R or Stata, interpreting results to identify patterns and solutions.
Conducting market segmentation analyses and evaluating drivers of attitudes and behaviors.
Working with geographic data and complex survey data through R or Stata.
Communicating with clients, overseeing project tasks, and collaborating with the team to meet deadlines.
Writing reports and briefings for non-technical audiences, providing actionable recommendations.
Ensuring quality control over syntax, analyses, and deliverables to produce accurate client products.

Required
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a social science field such as psychology, sociology, data/computer science, humanities, or other related fields.
2 or more years of post-graduation, practical research experience with applied social statistics within a professional environment (multivariate regression, descriptive statistics, data processing, and data analytics).
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to identify and communicate key findings from research to non-technical audiences.
Excellent analytic and dataset manipulation skills (e.g., recoding, cleaning) in R or Stata, including syntax-based analyses and data manipulation (e.g., collapsing, merging).
Professional experience working with existing datasets and integrating from multiple diverse sources (experience working with various levels of geographic data preferred). Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a team member.
Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.
Applicants must be comfortable working with sensitive topics, such as sexual assault, harassment, discrimination, and suicide.
Preferred
Experience building and executing automated analytic workflows is preferred.
Experience creating visual and written summaries of research results (e.g., in PowerPoint and Word) that can be understood by non-technical audiences.
Experience building dashboards in RShiny or a similar platform or experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar is preferred.
