Required
Interest in a career in science, particularly applied research in environmental/climate fields
Share our values and vision, particularly in creating an inclusive and welcoming workplace
Demonstrated capacity to work independently
Technical writing skills and the ability to communicate politely and effectively
Education, experience, and/or skill in atmospheric, climate, or environmental sciences and/or data science
Applicants for the Research Associate position are likely to have a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D.

Preferred
Basic knowledge of statistics
Familiarity with climate science concepts and general approaches
Familiarity with geospatial data and Python (or similar language)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Especially ability to 'translate' between scientific, technical, and non-technical audiences
Ability to self-manage tasks
Establish training approaches for various audiences
