Responsibilities
Design experiments and use statistically sound methodologies to evaluate phenotypic data collection under varying environmental conditions.
Develop, manage and maintain complex databases ensuring data integrity and quality.
Develops statistical and analytical models from field trial and environmental data.
Define, interpret, deliver and present data analysis, leveraging unique data sets in support of R&D teams to add value for planning and acceleration of variety deployment.
Discover & establish early pipeline screening protocols leveraging historical datasets.
Analyze and interpret large, multi-year agronomic datasets to drive meaningful insights and influence critical business decisions.
Proactively evaluate and incorporate new breeding techniques and technologies and contribute to research projects aimed at improving breeding methodologies.
Align and partner with key stakeholders upstream and downstream on research design strategies & outcomes.
Acts as a technical domain expert with cross-functional team members in the different regions of the company.

Required
Graduate degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience in agriculture or biological sciences.
Strong background in experimental design and statistical analysis, processing large datasets, applying pre-processing treatments and conditions to transform data into insights.
Experience in design, set up and management of agricultural research trials and field-based techniques.
Demonstrated computational skills with leading statistical programming packages.
Demonstrated ability for independent project management and leading technical teams through successful projects.
Excellent communication skills: ability to write and present results to both technical and non-technical audiences and relate to business impact.
Ability to thrive in a team-based work environment.
Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company values, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
Preferred
Experience in a breeding research position or commercial breeding program.
Bilingual Spanish / English.
Ph.D. in Quantitative Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genomics, or a related field.
Experience with genomic and marker-assisted selection.
Knowledge of plant breeding principles and practices, preferably in berry crops.
Familiarity with high-throughput phenotyping technologies.
