Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and conduct data analysis and revenue estimates.

Analyze tax data across CDTFA's 42 tax programs to identify trends and share insights.

Use Structured Query Language (SQL) and PowerBI to execute queries and retrieve and analyze data.

Conduct economic forecasts and analysis of taxable sales data at state and local levels.

Monitor tax receipts flow and provide expert consultative services Department-wide.

Required

Expert technical advisor responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting a variety of data analysis and revenue estimates

Analyzing tax data across CDTFA's 42 tax programs to identify trends and share insight with the public through research notes, newsletters, and other publications

Using Structured Query Language (SQL) and PowerBI to execute queries and retrieve and analyze data from CDTFA taxable sales database

Monitoring the flow of tax receipts to ascertain if changes in system processes and taxpayer behavior have altered historical relationships and estimates

Providing expert consultative and advisory services Department-wide regarding economic forecasts, revenue estimates, and taxable sales activity

Participating in E-Verify and providing Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.

Being fingerprinted and successfully passing a background investigation
