Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy a new generation of space weather coronagraphs.
Work in multidisciplinary laboratory environment to design, build, and optimize novel spacecraft instrumentation for scientific missions for the solar system and beyond.
Support senior R&D personnel in cutting edge research involving remote sensing instrumentation systems.
Develop high fidelity models of instrument performance enabling full instrument system optimization.
Work with scientific personnel to design, build, and deploy instrumentation for space science research.
Hands on work with spaceflight optical instruments and integration.
Develop test plans and analyze test data to verify instrument performance.
Work with science operations to develop data pipeline and reduction tools.

Required
Requires a Masters or a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Optical Engineering or other related Engineering field.
1+ years: Experience with complex optical data analysis. Those with a PhD require 0 years of experience.
1+ years: Instrument testing and verification.
1+ years: Experience with modeling instrument performance.
A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
