Responsibilities
Design highway/roadway corridors, interchanges, roadway widening, and intersection safety improvements for GDOT projects.
Utilize task management skills to efficiently complete project tasks.
Ensure compliance with GDOT standards and other relevant guidelines such as AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, and ADA.
Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver quality engineering solutions.

Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
6 – 15 years of progressive transportation/roadway design experience on transportation projects and thorough knowledge of GDOT’s PDP process, including concept development, preparation of plans (ROW and Construction), preparation of specifications and special provisions and preparation of engineering estimates
Experience in roadway plan production, OpenRoads, Geopack and Corridor Modeling
Strong verbal communication and analytical skills
Proficiency in MicroStation V8i SS2, V81 SS10 and Open Roads Designer
Familiar with GDOT Standards, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, ADA, PROWAG, etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Valid driver’s license
Preferred
Licensed Professional Engineer preferred and/or the ability to obtain within 6 months
