Responsibilities
Timely reporting and analysis of all royalty income related to company-owned rights
Coordinating and communicating with all payors to ensure that payments are timely and accurate
Maintaining internal reporting calendar to track all incoming and outgoing royalty payments
Supporting the financial and underwriting transaction teams in the evaluation of potential rights acquisition deals and accuracy in forecasting
Assisting in the conduct of payor royalty audits where necessary
Preparing internal memoranda and reporting related to royalty activity
Downloading and summarizing royalty statements for accuracy
Assisting in the recording of royalty activity in the company’s accounting ledger
Calculating and furnishing outgoing royalty statements based on contractual obligations
Combining and formatting large electronic datasets
Preparing royalty statements for ingestion into company’s BI database
Maintaining organization of electronic files and folders
Analyzing data to find underpayments of royalties and create claim schedules
Assisting the CAO and financial team in summarizing and reporting royalty activity for external use

Required
At least five years of work experience in music royalty analysis and related accounting
Unmatched attention to detail
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as problem solving skills
Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with limited supervision
Undergraduate degree from a nationally recognized institution
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
An ability to fit into a medium-sized team and a highly demanding work environment
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
Experience with Tableau or another BI software is highly recommended
