Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive sales strategy for the assigned territory, identifying key target industries, companies, and decision-makers within the bioscience sector.
Proactively research, identify, and qualify new business opportunities, generating a robust pipeline of potential customers within the assigned region.
Establish and maintain relationships with senior-level executives (e.g., CEOs, CTOs, Directors) to secure partnerships, expand business opportunities, and drive the sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
Deliver compelling sales presentations and demos to stakeholders at all levels, clearly communicating the value proposition of Thrive Biosciences’ products and services. Lead contract negotiations and closing of sales.
Identify specific client needs, and work with customers and Thrive resources to build optimal technology solutions, before and after sales to maintain customer satisfaction and repeat business. Manage ongoing relationships with clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction, follow-up on deliverables, and identification of opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Track and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and key metrics. Regularly and consistently keep this information up to date in the CRM. Provide regular updates to leadership on territory progress and sales targets.
Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align efforts and drive strategic initiatives within the territory. Work with marketing and applications to continuously improve product positioning, messaging, and development. Engage with marketing to develop relevant marketing materials and tools that match the needs of field sales.
Stay up to date on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to ensure Thrive Biosciences remains competitive and can anticipate changes in the industry.
Work directly with R&D to convey the needs of specific customers and the market in general. Aid in prioritizing new product development with a continuous feedback loop.

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and business development, with a focus on B2B sales, preferably in the bioscience, life sciences, or healthcare sectors.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with experience in territory management and senior-level sales.
Highly motivated, self-starter who can work in an early-stage company.
Proven skills in providing product demonstrations, video conferencing, cold calling, and using CRMs, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Word.
Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel, at time on short notice.
Ability to manage and develop sales territories while also managing costs and risks.
Ability to effectively communicate (orally and written) both technical and non-technical topics.
Strong presentation skills demonstrated before customer, peers, and senior management.
Ability to recognize and manage potential problem areas and resolve them with integrity.
Degree in Sciences, preferably Life Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

Strong network of senior executives within the bioscience or related industries is highly preferred.
Desired experience includes: imaging, assay development, automation, cell culture, process development, cell biology.
PhD is strongly preferred and will be given higher priority.
