Sales Compensation Analyst

Responsibilities
Administer and manage sales compensation programs, ensuring accurate and timely payouts for commissions, bonuses, and incentives.
Conduct periodic audits of compensation data to ensure integrity, compliance with regulations, and alignment with business goals.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for compensation optimization.
Collaborate with external vendors and utilize market benchmarking to maintain competitive compensation practices.
Develop and implement compensation tools and processes to automate and enhance tracking, reporting, and payment functions.
Generate detailed reports and dashboards on compensation effectiveness, sales performance, and outcomes for leadership.
Ensure compliance with company policies and wage and hour laws, proactively mitigating risks.
Support cross-functional initiatives by working with HR, Finance, Sales, and IT to align compensation strategies with organizational needs.
Provide training and guidance to the sales team and managers on compensation plans and incentive structures.
Assist in special projects such as system enhancements, process improvements, and M&A-related integrations.

Required
Minimum 3+ years of experience in compensation, with a focus on sales compensation administration.
Proven expertise in developing and managing incentive-based compensation programs.
Strong experience in sales performance data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with wage and hour laws and compensation compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with compensation tools (e.g., Workday, SAP).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across departments.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Certification in compensation (e.g., CCP, CPP) is a plus.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or integration-related projects is desirable.
