Responsibilities

Design and develop custom solutions on the Salesforce platform, including custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and triggers.
Develop Lightning Web Components (LWC) to create customized front-end user interfaces and functionalities on the Salesforce platform, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience. Develop in Salesforce using LWC to build dynamic, scalable, and efficient pages and applications.
Develop and maintain custom APEX classes, triggers, and Visualforce pages.
Design and manage integrations between Salesforce and external applications through secure APIs, OAuth 2.0 authentication, and Salesforce Connected Apps.
Collaborate with our data engineers and architects to create, maintain, and optimize our REST APIs.
Set up and manage Salesforce Single Sign-On (SSO) and Single Sign-Out configurations.
Design and implement branded portals and websites using Salesforce Digital Experiences (formerly known as Salesforce Communities) to enhance customer and partner engagement, facilitate self-service, and improve collaboration through customizable user interfaces and integrated Salesforce data.
Identify and manage Fonteva objects and integrations within the Salesforce environment.
Required to be proactive and independent in engaging with other departments (Finance, Conference and Events, Marketing, Membership, etc.) to understand their business processes, and capable of designing and automating these processes within Salesforce without day-to-day supervision.
Collaborate closely with the finance team on our Summary and Detailed Sales Reporting Tool, focusing on maintaining and optimizing the integration between Salesforce and our external finance system (Sage Intacct) through APEX code, ensuring seamless data flow between the two platforms.
Work closely with senior leadership to identify and prioritize business needs and opportunities for implementation into Salesforce.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and manage custom integrations and data migration processes to support cross-departmental collaboration.
Communicate complex Salesforce processes and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Act as a project manager and lead, guide, and support a team of Salesforce administrators, database engineers and architects, and external contracted developers.
Oversee multiple Salesforce Projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals by coordinating with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and deliverables, while monitoring progress and managing risks to ensure successful completion.
Support the technology team in maintaining a technical shared services model for multiple organizations, such as the PPA and RFxPremier, by utilizing shared business processes and Salesforce objects to effectively feed data to these entities.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce customizations and integrations.
Provide technical support and guidance to Salesforce administrators and other team members.
Continuously seek ways to enhance business and data processes and outcomes by staying updated with the latest trends, releases, and new features in Salesforce, implementing best practices, and evaluating new tools and methodologies.
Travel to events 2-4 times a year to support registration, one-on-one meetings, and logistics.
Assist with event setup, including unpacking and organizing materials, directing attendees, and providing technical support.

Required

5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
Strong experience with Salesforce projects across Sales, Service and Experience clouds.
Proficiency in APEX, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and SOQL.
Strong working knowledge and experience with Salesforce Connected Apps, including designing and managing integrations between Salesforce and external applications through secure APIs, REST/SOAP, and OAuth 2.0 authentication.
Proven experience in integrating Salesforce with external accounting, marketing, event software and other systems.
Solid understanding of data modeling, security, and best practices in Salesforce.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience managing bulk data (e.g. workbench, data loader, import wizard).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred

Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Pardot, and other Salesforce products desired.
Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL and other web technologies desired.
Experience with Mulesoft (AnyPoint) or similar integration tools preferred.
Strong understanding of Fonteva objects and its functionality within Salesforce desired.
Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certification or Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification or other applicable Salesforce certifications desired.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a Salesforce Developer function.
