Responsibilities
Creates and maintains architectural artifacts illustrating the Salesforce ecosystem
Design and code solutions that integrate with our Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and 3rd party applications
Maintains a deep understanding of core coding technologies, lightning framework, API integrations (SOAP and REST), trigger framework, flows and batch processing
Leads the development, communication, and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and the components required for Salesforce support
Guides and consults with IT management and technical staff members regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services
Participates in the evaluation, selection and application of new and emerging tools and techniques
Establishes and builds strong working relations and partnerships with Business units and senior management
Provides development and debug level operational support to our group companies and development teams
Provides technical support and insight into large project release planning and implementation
Maintains code best practices and standards. Ensures that the best practices are enforced, and architecture standards are met with new initiatives and deployments
Complies with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the company
Performs special projects and other duties as needed
Develops/Enhances SOPs to support the development team
Presents technical solution designs to our Technical Review Board for approval of mid to large size solutions

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred
Salesforce certification in any of the following is preferred: Salesforce Certified System Architect, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect
10+ years’ software development experience required
5-7 years of Salesforce solution architecture and/or Senior developer experience
Strong experience developing Salesforce solutions using Lightning, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Apex classes, Apex Triggers and Flows
An understanding of system limitations and best practices within Salesforce system limits and constraints
Ability to design reusable and scalable components for a high volume and enterprise environments
Ability to design and align system components based on requirements
Experience with integrating Salesforce with service bus and external web services such as Azure REST and SOAP APIs
Experience with authentication methods such as API tokens, oAuth, certificates
Experience with modern CI/CD tools
Experience working with Sales Cloud
Familiarity with SOA strategies and solutions
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies for planning and executing application development, enhancement, or support
Strong writing, communication, and comprehension skills; customer service orientation
Interpersonal relationship building and collaboration
Strategic thinking including root cause and solution focused analytical ability
Ability to juggle competing priorities, and to work independently and without supervision
Ability to quickly debug Salesforce Apex code, trigger logic, flows and API integration
Preferred
Experience with FSC object model for Insurance is a plus
Experience with VS Code and Git repository usage
