Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW data models, including InfoObjects, InfoProviders, and DataStore Objects (DSOs).

Build and optimize reports and dashboards using SAP BI tools (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud).

Create and manage queries in SAP BW and SAP BI/BO tools to deliver meaningful insights to business users.

Develop and support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes within the SAP BW system to ensure accurate data integration from various sources.

Monitor and optimize the performance of SAP BW/BI systems and data flows.

Troubleshoot data issues, resolve problems, and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Perform system upgrades, patches, and support the integration of SAP BW with other enterprise systems.

Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Conduct root cause analysis for reporting discrepancies and data inconsistencies.

Support business decision-making with data-driven insights and analytical reports.

Document BW/BI processes, data models, and report designs.

Provide training and support to end-users on the use of SAP BI tools and reports.

Create user manuals and guides for system usage and report generation.

Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., business analysts, developers, project managers) to implement BI solutions.

Collaborate with SAP functional teams (FI, CO, SD, MM, etc.) to ensure proper data extraction and reporting.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve the SAP BW/BI environment, workflows, and reporting processes.

Stay updated with the latest SAP BW/BI technologies, tools, and best practices.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

Experience working with SAP BW and/or BI systems in a similar role.

Hands-on experience with SAP BW modeling, ETL processes, and reporting tools (SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.).

Experience in working with various data sources (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, external databases, etc.).

Strong knowledge of SAP BW architecture, data modeling, and data integration processes.

Experience with SAP BI tools such as SAP BusinessObjects, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, or SAP Analytics Cloud.

Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation languages.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Security clearance.

Preferred

SAP BW or BI certification is a plus.

Knowledge of SAP HANA and integration with SAP BW.

Experience with cloud-based BI tools and technologies.

Understanding of SAP modules such as Finance, Sales, Logistics, or HR is a plus.

Federal Experience is a plus.
