Responsibilities

The SAP Technology Team Lead is responsible for leading, supporting and administering SAP Business Suite on HANA on public Cloud (AWS), executing SAP Upgrades & Migration to S/4HANA, and supporting the Cloud based environment.

Working closely with USDA Cloud Service Provider Team members, Solution Architects, Cloud Architects, Basis Administrators, Application Developers, and Business Process Analysts.

Direct engagement with customers, program sponsors, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.

Rapid response and communication for operation issues/anomalies.

Management of deliverables/work products and process documentation maintenance.

Planning/Scheduling for upcoming activities and align Basis maintenance schedule with program release schedules.

Customer communication & internal team communication.

Resource task scheduling and follow-up for on-time completion.

Focus over key contract areas that are SLA based: Availability, Performance, Security Posture, Customer Service, Process stability.

Enforcement of process and technical standards/conventions.

Process and efficiency improvement in areas of need: (e.g., Release management change deployment, System copy/refresh, Security posture maintenance).

Evaluation of the current model for work allocation based on Primary/Secondary component 'ownership' (i.e., responsibilities are assigned based on system or product).

Improve work planning and estimation capabilities.

Resource skills assessment and recommendations.

CACI management of employees assigned to SAP Technology Lead position (Time accounting, leave requests, career mobility and training planning, coaching and mentoring).

Maintain CTS configuration across complex landscape under Solution Manager ChaRM control.

Troubleshooting of ABAP & JAVA & HANA issues.

System and Transaction performance monitoring/analysis/reporting.

NetWeaver Java (Portal/PO/BW) administration.

Apache (Web, Proxy), Web Dispatcher, SSL configuration and troubleshooting.

Business Objects 4.3 patching, support, troubleshooting (HANA Reporting, Data Governance IS/DS/ADM).

SQL Server Database support on Windows Server (uPerform, SAP IS/DS/ADM by Syniti).

AWS Cloud architecture for PROGRAM (monitoring utilization, capacity, growth).

SAP S/4HANA experience in planning, installation, administration and support processes.

Required

10+ years in a Basis Administration / System Administration leadership role with experience on large SAP programs

5+ years of technology leadership experience with SAP S/4HANA in Cloud deployments

Expert in SAP installation/upgrade/migration, especially targeting Business Suite on HANA and S/4HANA

Knowledgeable on multiple DB technologies especially in the context of migrations from RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server) to HANA

Proficiency working on multiple OS platforms for SAP and non-SAP products (RedHat Linux, Windows Server)

Knowledgeable supporting and maintaining SAP instance types (ABAP, JAVA, SCS, BOBJ, TREX, Web Dispatcher, Apache Tomcat)

HANA installation, administration, and troubleshooting experience

Experience with system migrations from on-premises to public cloud FEDRAMP compliant facilities

Strong working knowledge of Instance Types, Storage, OS, Network, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability approaches in the context of running SAP in the cloud

Ability to understand and articulate requirements to define solutions and benefits

Excellent presentation and listening skills to communicate effectively with peers and management

Able to independently manage multiple priorities and demands

Preferred

Technical Degree with relevant field experience

Experience working on Federal/Public sector SAP projects

5+ years’ experience in professional services consulting or equivalent SAP HANA certification (SAP Certified Technology Associate – HANA 2.0)

SAP Cloud technology solutions knowledge or certification (SAP Cloud ALM, BSP, RISE)

AWS cloud certification strongly preferred (must be willing and able to obtain certification if not already in hand)

Familiarity working with project tools (OpenText ALM, ServiceNow, MS SharePoint, MS teams, Microsoft Office 365)
