Responsibilities
Coordinate all scheduled services related to medical and surgical admissions using EPIC scheduling systems
Interact with physicians and patients to collect necessary clinical information for scheduling services
Conduct detailed registration interviews with patients to ensure accuracy of information
Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy while managing sensitive information
Act as a liaison between various hospital departments to facilitate smooth scheduling processes

Required
Minimum educational requirement: Scholastic preparation equal to one or two years of college or proven related healthcare experience
Knowledge of hospital information/scheduling systems, particularly EPIC
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information
Proficiency in medical terminology
Preferred
Experience in a healthcare setting related to patient scheduling and admissions
Familiarity with legal requirements and third-party payor policies and procedures
Proven ability to function effectively in a high-stress environment
