Responsibilities

Assist in developing and curating engaging social media content that highlights research activities and achievements.

Support the management of social media platforms by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries.

Write compelling and accessible articles about ongoing scientific research for a broad audience.

Collaborate with researchers to accurately convey complex scientific concepts in a clear and engaging manner.

Create and edit multimedia elements, including graphics, videos, and infographics, to support research communication efforts.

Work closely with the team to ensure that multimedia content aligns with the institute's branding and messaging.

Compile and distribute newsletters and other internal communications materials to keep the research community informed and engaged.

Assist in the coordination of internal events and announcements related to research initiatives.

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or recent graduate within 1-2 years post degree) in Communications, Journalism, Public Health, Public Relations, or Marketing

Must possess excellent writing and organizational skills

Must demonstrate professionalism and willingness to learn

Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively multitask

Excellent problem-solving abilities, creative and self-motivated

Able to work 2-3 days per week for 10 or more weeks between January and May

This is a remote position - must be available to work during East Coast business hours
