Responsibilities

Processes and interprets experimental data. Formulates experimental hypotheses and designs experimental protocols.
Conducts statistical analysis, statistical modeling (e.g., logistic regression, GLMEs, GEEs, etc), power and sample size calculations, and making inferences based on scientific findings.
Makes scientific observations, maintains detailed workbooks/documentation, and ensures documentation fulfills generally accepted professional/industry standards.
Coordinates and contributes to new grant and funding applications. Similiarly contributes to scientific protocol reviews and submissions to IRBs for human subjects research.
Assists senior scientists with training and supervision of epidemiologists, data analysts, and data managers, as needed.
Prepares written reports and publication ready manuscripts for submission to scientific journals.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
Assigned Lead: May recommend the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, and starting salaries; provide input on employee performance evaluations.

Required

Doctorate Degree required.
Minimum of 2-5 years experience required.
Knowledge of applicable complex scientific procedures and techniques and epidemiological methods.
Experience analyzing data and making inferences, to include multivariable statistical modeling.
Demonstrated experience with publishing scientific manuscripts in peer reviewed journals.
Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with at least one statistical analysis software program.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot technical procedures.
Ability to work independently and supervise others.
The ability to obtain and/or maintain a T3 Secret Clearance.
U.S. citizenship is required due to Security Clearance requirements.
