Responsibilities

Lead and/or perform activities for the development of new formulations and manufacturing processes of solids, liquids, and semi-solid dosage forms.

Investigate, craft, and validate new scientific methodologies for a diverse scope of projects.

Establish formulation and processes for various phases of development such as toxicology, pre-clinical - phase III, scale-up, and registration.

Lead technical/scientific project activities and discussions to implement strategies and technical solutions meeting customer needs.

Develop processes for clinical, scale up, and/or registration batches, including technology transfer of projects to and from clients.

Lead problem-solving activities with independent judgment and mentor other scientists.

Communicate progress of activities to supervisors and project team peers.

Perform all duties in compliance with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety guidelines.

Drive the design, evaluation, and development of formulations for pre-clinical studies, clinical trials, and process development.

Mentor junior level scientists and/or technologists and lead problem-solving for assigned projects.

Draft quality batch production records, reports, and protocols as needed.

Review and plan technical aspects of projects, including prioritization of multiple projects to meet timelines.

Recommend and assist in implementing team/company and technical improvements conforming to regulatory standards.

Develop methods and processes that meet or exceed client expectations and provide innovation.

Research industry practices and processes to apply to innovative development.
