Responsibilities

Lead and/or perform activities for the development of new formulations and manufacturing processes of solids, liquids, and semi-solid dosage forms.
Investigate, craft, and validate new scientific methodologies for a diverse scope of projects.
Develop processes for clinical, scale up, and/or registration batches, including technology transfer of projects to and from clients.
Lead problem-solving activities with independent judgment and mentor other scientists.
Communicate progress of activities to supervisors and project team peers.
Maintain strict compliance with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines.
Drive the design, evaluation, and development of formulations for pre-clinical studies, clinical trials, process development, and scale-up.
Mentor junior level scientists and/or technologists and actively participate in problem-solving for assigned projects.
Draft quality batch production records, reports, and protocols as needed.
Lead product development with minor supervision and review technical aspects of projects.
Develop methods and processes that meet or exceed client expectations and provide innovation.
Research industry practices and processes and apply innovative development internally and for client products.

Required

Bachelor of Science in science or engineering field.
6+ years of scientific experience.
Deep knowledge of multifaceted aspects or a specialized aspect of a field.
Good knowledge of scientific methodology as related to the pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Excellent critical and logical thinking skills.
Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including leading technical discussions with internal and external clients.
Knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical processes, equipment, instrumentation, and procedures.
