Responsibilities
Facilitate Agile Ceremonies:
Lead agile ceremonies appropriate to the organization’s needs
Ensure these ceremonies are efficient, outcome-focused, and drive team accountability and delivery.
Accountability & Role Clarity:
Ensure that each volunteer understands their role and responsibilities within the team.
Encourage volunteers to take ownership of their commitments and follow through on delivery.
Work with team members to define clear goals and deliverables for each sprint.
Collaboration & Communication:
Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Facilitate asynchronous communication and decision-making through Slack, Monday.com, and other tools.
Ensure information is flowing freely between team members, ensuring blockers are identified and resolved quickly.
Support Planning & Prioritization:
Work with project leads and volunteers to organize backlogs, set priorities, and plan sprints based on project goals and organizational OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
Help teams break down large tasks into manageable pieces (epics, stories, tasks) and assign them to volunteers based on their availability and skills.
Monitor Progress & Delivery:
Track the team's progress towards sprint goals using project management tools like Monday.com and Google Drive.
Hold teams accountable for their commitments by monitoring delivery timelines and ensuring transparency in progress and challenges.
Provide regular reports to leadership on team performance and sprint outcomes.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead retrospectives to identify opportunities for improving team collaboration, process efficiency, and overall productivity.
Guide teams in implementing changes that improve their way of working, ensuring a cycle of continuous learning and improvement.
Champion Agile Practices:
Serve as a role model for agile ways of working, encouraging self-organization and adaptive planning.
Provide guidance and training to volunteers on agile principles and practices, ensuring that the team remains aligned with the agile mindset.

Required
The candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
Previous experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an agile team.
Strong understanding of project management tools like Monday.com, Slack, or similar collaboration platforms.
Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams.
Strong organizational skills and a clear focus on delivering outcomes and meeting deadlines.
Ability to resolve conflicts, manage challenges, and maintain a positive team dynamic.
Passion for volunteerism, collaboration, and building self-sufficient, empowered teams.
Collaborative and team-focused, with a natural inclination to support and uplift others.
Adaptability and openness to change, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred
Experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and implementing agile practices in a non-profit or volunteer setting is a plus.
