Responsibilities

Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/ assignments

Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments

Required

5-10 years of experience in bridge design

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required, Masters preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience

Responsible for more complex projects generally involving multiple aspects

Creates concept designs, design specifications; assesses constructability; creates documentation and drawing from conceptual ideas

Responsible for data and business requirements analysis and technical work to support assigned projects

Ensures technical accuracy of assigned work/projects

Developing specialized skills in a particular discipline
