Responsibilities

Threat Monitoring and Detection: Continuously monitor security systems, networks, and applications for potential security breaches.

Incident Response and Investigation: Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and initiate containment and remediation actions.

Security Tools: Utilize security tools to detect, prevent, and mitigate security threats.

Threat Intelligence: Gather and analyze threat intelligence to stay informed about security threats.

Threat Analysis/Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses.

Security Awareness and Training: Develop educational materials, conduct training sessions, and promote security best practices.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure security controls align with regulatory requirements and conduct risk assessments.

Security Incident Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of security incidents and prepare incident reports.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a SOC analyst or similar role

Knowledge of various security methodologies, processes, and technical security solutions (firewall, intrusion detection systems, load balancers, endpoint security systems etc.)

Experience in system administration of Windows

Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

COMPTIA Security +

AWS Security Specialty Certification
