Responsibilities

Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and manage firewall systems to protect the company’s network from unauthorized access and threats.
Endpoint Security: Implement and manage endpoint security solutions to protect devices from malware, ransomware, and other cyber threats.
Email Security: Oversee the implementation and management of email security solutions to prevent phishing attacks, spam, and other email-based threats.
Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify, analyze, and remediate security weaknesses in the company's IT infrastructure.
Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, including CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmarks. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance.
Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the response to security incidents, including investigation, documentation, and implementation of corrective actions.
Security Policies & Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a robust security posture across the organization.
Security Awareness Training: Conduct regular training sessions to educate employees on security best practices and emerging threats.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, DevOps, and other teams to integrate security practices into the development and operational processes.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve the company’s security posture.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in a security engineering role or similar position.
Strong understanding of firewall configurations, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security technologies.
Experience with endpoint security solutions, such as antivirus, EDR, and MDM.
Proficiency in vulnerability management tools and techniques.
Knowledge of email security protocols and technologies.
Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and other compliance frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are a plus.
