Responsibilities

Engage in the initial setup, design, and configuration of security systems, including MFA and UAR.

Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.

Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.

Consult with clients to identify and implement best security practices and solutions.

Conduct both routine and irregular security audits to identify any possible intrusions.

Maintain a current understanding of the latest trends in the cybersecurity industry, including attacker techniques, and communicating these trends to the team and upper management.

Anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters and reduce their likelihood.

Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.

Analyze security breaches to identify the root cause.

Script or automate common administrative tasks using PowerShell.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

At least 5 years of proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer.

Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.

Experience with network security and networking technologies and system, security, and network monitoring tools.

Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.

Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures) and network/web related protocols.

Proficiency in scripting/programming languages, especially PowerShell.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex security topics to non-technical staff.

Preferred

Professional certification like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is a plus.
