Responsibilities

Maintaining profitability based on manpower capacity and revenue goals.
Tracking projects due to client on a daily basis and maintains flow of work shipping on a daily basis.
Participating in all Seismic services proposal client calls (for those clients for which the Program Manager acts as the lead) and evaluates the opportunity to “upsell”.
Serving as liaison to the client during the performance of work and consults with the client as needed.
Supervising and reviewing Seismic Risk Assessments (SRA), Probable Maximum Loss (PML) Evaluations and Earthquake Due Diligence Assessment reports performed by the technical team.
Assuring client satisfaction goals and quality standards are met through timely responsiveness and feedback to clients.
Working with Sales and Technical Operations to prepare proposals for Seismic services projects, determining scope of work, timing, and project cost.
Assisting in the development of training programs and provides technical training on an as-needed basis to our clients.
Identifying vendors which may be sources of additional capacity (full-time, part-time, subcontractual) for Seismic services projects.
Correspond with vendors and alliance partners on project opportunities.
Reviewing and approves invoices prior to release and approves payment for contracted services.
Supervising and directs team of Seismic Project Managers and assigned staff. Determines work assignments, priorities and schedules. Reviews and evaluates work progress, identifies problems and provides technical direction and guidance to assigned staff.
Conduct structural and forensic investigations of properties.
Conduct client facing on-site inspections and seismic/structural assessments using mobile inspection software on company provided iPad.
Prepares and reviews written reports, including Seismic Risk Assessments (SRA), Probable Maximum Loss (PML) Evaluations and Earthquake Due Diligence Assessments to ASTM E2557-16a and ASTM E2026-16a.
Provide photographic documentation of site and building features and document observations.
Enhances professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
May be required to work overtime.
Ability to travel, on average, approximately 25% of time to client sites across the U.S. via plane and driving as determined based on the project location.
Directly supervises employees on the seismic team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering with a minimum of 10 years performing Seismic Risk Assessments and structural/forensic investigations.
Ten years of general structural engineering of buildings.
Five years of seismic design and analysis experience of buildings.
Three years of seismic risk assessment of buildings.
Skilled in the use of computer technologies such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, smartphone apps, inspection tools and related software.
Professional Engineer licensure required preferably CA, WA, OR.
Valid driver's license is required with no significant MVA points/violations.
