Responsibilities

Collaborate with Buying and Planning counterparts to align financial targets with assortment strategy and make necessary modifications with Design.
Work with Sourcing Associates to ensure vendor allocation for all styles.
Utilize costing database to determine target costs based on product attributes and retail prices, reviewing vendor cost breakdowns and proposing solutions.
Communicate product details and meeting sample requirements to Overseas Office Merchant.
Update and own first-cost style-level analysis, iterate as needed, and update initial mark up roll-up.
Provide dashboard views of initial mark up roll-up to Strategic Sourcing team.
Participate in milestone meetings and line development activities throughout the season.
Support Product Lead with materials for Post Buy Recap and manage purchase order information accuracy.
Ensure PLM is updated by Product Assistant and track development and adoption rates.

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
3+ years of experience in merchandising, product development, planning, or buying
Strong ability in assortment execution
Effective collaboration skills with Buying, Planning, Design, and Sourcing teams
Costing expertise including utilizing costing databases and reviewing vendor cost breakdowns
Excellent communication skills to keep team members informed
Strong analytical abilities for style-level analysis and updating initial mark up roll-up
Creative and strategic thinking to support assortment strategy
Leadership and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration
Adaptability to evolving situations in the fashion industry
Negotiation skills for effective cost negotiations
Dedication to diversity, inclusion, and respect
Ability to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel
Flexibility to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs
