Responsibilities

Leads projects, from statement of work and kickoff through ensuring superior quality of final deliverable

Submits abstracts/posters/manuscripts and follows up on acceptance

Maintains publication details in publication management portals or other systems in a compliant manner as required by clients

Interfaces with clients and with appropriate support departments

Prepares and sends materials to client and service providers

Schedules and prepares materials for client meetings

Leads client status calls

Documents client contacts (via e-mail), requests (change orders), and meetings (conference reports) concisely and accurately

Works with PM to maintain status report and timelines

Keeps internal team apprised of client activities and needs

Manages project-related financials

Performs research, as needed, to assist with problem solving

Identifies and organizes growth opportunities within current client base

Keeps supervisor aware of all issues within client’s organization and within agency

Required

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the health sciences, marketing, or communications field

2 to 4 years of experience in scientific communications and publication management/development in an agency or pharmaceutical company

Demonstrated leadership experience/potential

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience with publication management software (e.g., Datavision)

Excellent research/data entry skills

Excellent problem-solving skills

Superior oral and written communications skills

Ability to manage numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

Superior ability to develop productive relationships with both internal and external colleagues
