Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of small business clients across various industries, acting as their go-to financial advisor.
Conduct detailed financial reviews with a keen eye for accuracy, compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide audit-level assurance and build trust with clients by communicating insights clearly and positively.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their financial goals are met with actionable strategies.
Oversee financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
Collaborate with internal CounselFi teams to deliver seamless CFO, accounting, and bookkeeping services.
Handle complex accounting tasks, such as reconciliations, payroll oversight, and cost accounting.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency for clients and CounselFi’s internal operations.

Required
Minimum 5 years in accounting roles
At least 3 years managing a client portfolio at an accounting firm
Audit experience is essential
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting tools
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized with a focus on delivering excellent client service
Preferred
CPA designation preferred but not required
Experience in construction accounting is a big plus
