Responsibilities
Accounting for Leases under ASC 842
Cross-functionally work with different departments to ensure landlords are adhering to lease terms and newly entered lease agreements contain appropriate language that align with the Company’s policies.
Periodically assist in the monthly revenue recognition process to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Enhance and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely revenue recognition for the recurring revenue streams.
Analyze revenues and corresponding costs of services to ensure they are recorded appropriately
Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly and annual basis and report on any variances
Assist in the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements
Assist in annual audit preparation
Account for acquisitions of new practices under ASC 805
Perform research on accounting issues
Analyze and understand various service/product offerings and revenue streams to ensure proper revenue recognition.
Responsible for preparation of General Ledger entries and assigned reconciliations for month-end to close the books in a timely manner
Create process improvements and streamline processes
Participate in projects for the entire cycle - from initiation to production go-live
Ad hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

Required
Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting
4+ years accounting experience
Auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts
Strong analytical skills
Accounting for leases under ASC 842
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers
Ability to partner with cross-functional teams on production work, initiatives, projects, and testing
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines
Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Ability to query, analyze, and reconcile large volumes of data
Ability to display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently
Attention to details while still seeing the big picture
A sense of humor, a curious mind, an eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude
