Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in AR, AP, timesheets, payroll, and cash by leveraging Deltek CostPoint.

Support and guide the Staff Accountant in effectively utilizing Deltek CostPoint and step in to assist as needed.

Lead the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and generating reports.

Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and analysis.

Partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies.

Provide mentorship and oversight to the accounting team, fostering professional growth.

Collaborate with the Senior Project Cost Accountant to address project-specific financial needs.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Extensive experience with Deltek CostPoint ERP, particularly in AR, AP, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years supervising or reviewing other accountants.

Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial work.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (e.g., Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, exposure to Macros)

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Expertise in process improvement, project management, and financial analysis.

Leadership skills with a focus on mentorship and team development.

Solid understanding of GAAP principles and the distinction between cash and accrual accounting.

Preferred

CPA Certification

Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management Services industry
